On Air. Finally!

It happens to be that I have had the good fortune to have broadcast 5 transmissions of my show at 88.3 Mhz! Thanks to the wonderful folks at WRCT Pittsburgh, the show is up and running and shall continue for the next three years. Check back here weekly and you'll get some tid bits of the goings on at the lab and the research that is underway.

I'm sure that many of you heard about the police state that Oresburgh became over the course of the week of September 24th. Unfortunately for me, the city enforced a state of martial law and anyone out on the street was dealt with very abrasively. As a result, for the past week I was locked in my lab with no other recourse than to cook up some mushroom and pickled plantain pizza and delve into the depths of the internet.

I became uncomfortably lonely, looking out at the waxing moon and the empty halls of my lab. Everyone was excused from work and so I didn't even have pimplefaced lab assistants to aid dull the oppressively quiet hum of the lab.

On the second night as I loaded up the terminal and began to input some data into the command prompt the screen began to flicker in odd pulses of red, blue, green. For a minute I thought it was simply the isolation and lack of sleep getting to me, but suddenly a polyhedral shape began to pierce my monitor. I sat there mesmerized at the occurrence and glanced over at an atomic clock. 4:07 AM I heard the sound of a modem beep and through the screen came, to my surprise a Porygon. The room was suddenly filled with a soft hum of pulsating warmth. I reached out to lay my hand on Porygon's tail and felt everything go to blue...

For what felt like days my consciousness permeated the matrix of information and I drifted alongside my porygon guide through a universe entirely unknown to me. What was astonishing, more than the nature of this cybernetic astral projection was the way in which I simultaneously saw the infinite layers of abstraction: Electrons, binary, Perl, html, human language, abstracted perceptions of time. It was like being a living breathing Cubist painting.

Slowly, Porygon guided me and I began to see my body sitting calmly in the lab. I was staring at myself staring at myself. I bowed in respect to the Porygon and the friendliness that it had shown me in our journey.

Amazingly, it was 4:11. Only four minutes had passed

When I was pulled back into my body I felt at ease and had the most wonderful night of sleep.

Rest assured I have logged this experience thoroughly in my notes. I recorded the anatomic proportions of the Porygon that visited me and this was the result.Build your own Porygon!
