Hello pokéfans,
I'd like to let you know that Vulpixelation will now be airing as a prerecorded episode on Tuesday until Mid July. I will be learning the art and craft of sonic circuit building and unfortunately the classes for this learning endeavor occur at the same time as my beloved show. Alas, prerecorded episodes are the only recourse!
Hopefully June has been coming along well for all of you. The show has taken a pleasant turn in terms of content and the shows have been becoming extremely content rich sonic tapestries. This is all thanks to the ubiquity of audio recordings and the wonderful ways in which they are archived. I'm very happy with the more experimental bent the show has been taking.
As such I want to give a big shout out to all archivists out there! You make cultural works like mine so very pleasurable and exciting.
Tomorrow's lucky pokémon is Zubat. Get ready to go spelunking and to use a nifty little device that Professor Rowan made for me. Last week's recording of Geodude can be found here.
Forgive me for how difficult it is to access the logs of these recordings. The ideal solution would be for me to have the recordings online on my own server that has a clean and quirky front end that leads you to the file directory. Each entry will have a short description and you can preview it from that page. If you like it you'll be able to download it for free.
Additionally if you'd like to aid me in this endeavor of Sonic Portraits shoot me an email at jjfernan@wrct.org. Juan Fernandez is my current intern and he takes all my mail. Additionally if your name is Mary you'll get the job on the spot. No questions asked.
Wishing you the best
